Today it was a sunny day here in London, and my feet were antsy to get out of the flat and do something… so decided to head to St. Paul Cathedral. Love love love the architectural structures here in Europe. They are absolutely artistically done. Every time I walk by a building I want to get out my camera out and snap away. I know I scream out “LOOK ANOTHER TOURIST!!!” each time I do it, but I can’t help myself. The beauty in all these buildings is OUTSTANDING!
I’ve decided to include some photos from my outing; especially since people have been sending me messages saying “Where’s the photos?”

"Here's where I am staying"
First off, in the photo to the left you can see the front of where I am currently residing. It’s quite charming and adorable, don’t you think? It’s a huge shift from my 5 acre country home. In fact, as I was walking this morning I was realizing that all of the flats on this block would fit on my old property back in the states. They manage to cram a lot of people in a small amount of space here in Europe.
I do think this flat I am staying at has the sweetest little garden area both in the front, and in the back. Every once in awhile I can spot a family of foxes that come into the back garden. It’s so cool to spot them! I’ve never seen foxes up close in their natural state before until London.
The next photos are all random shots of St. Paul’s Cathedral. That building was absolutely delicious to witness. You’ll notice that I even got excited about the doors. Everything is a work of art. Hope you enjoy!

love the angel on this garden sign

More windows looking up...I was in awe

I love this door!

It's the IceCream Van!

This ice cream is so incredibly creamy, sweet, and DELICIOUS!

They serve coke in the bottles in London!
Next, while on my journey I stopped by at one of the ice cream vans, and ordered an ice-cream cone. OMG! The soft ice cream cones here are nothing like they are in the states. They are way friggen better! We’re talking the most creamy, smooth, delicious vanilla ice cream ever. Very orgasmic indeed!
After walking around for awhile, decided to go to the art museum, and check out the new art. I have to say I giggled at some of the art pieces they had in that museum. I’ve seen better art with my previous 7th graders in art class. Was interesting to see, but not excited to go again.
My inner tummy was craving some protein so headed for the Gourmet Burgers cafe, and ordered up a blue cheese burger. It was absolutely mouth watering! Good choice, indeed. The only thing is people here in London eat their burgers with a fork and knife. So, that’s what I did, I cut my burger with the knife in my right hand, and ate with my fork in the left hand. I’m still getting used to that. I really love eating with my fingers. I took a picture of the bottled coke, because in the states when you order a coke it is rare to receive the bottle and straw. That cute little tomato is the ketchup squeeze bottle…very cute…even if I don’t like ketchup!

Headed to the Underground

Here comes the subway!
After a day of A LOT walking, visiting the art museum, admiring St. Paul’s Cathedral, eating delicious food, it was finally time to get on the Underground subway, and head back to the flats. It was a very good day!
For those of you who have visited London, if you know of places that are a MUST see, please send me a note. I would love to hear about it. I’m really excited to nibble on London. It’s a big city with LOTS and LOTS to look at and do!

Love the pictures. It makes me excited to go to London. Thanks, Elizabeth
oh wow they have the tomato sauce (ketchup) bottles now. That is another thing we had to send my brothers when they lived in the UK, the sauce bottles, glad to see they finally have them there.
Great photo’s Shannon, thanks for sharing. btw, get the feeling looking at your flat there are a few spirits looking out the windows, lol.
mmmmmmmmm, ice cream looks like it has a chocolate flake in it, give me give me.
Thank you for sharing!!! Love the cathedral!! Ice cream looks the best!!!
Like the transportation!!
Lovin’ the pics sweetie, especially the ice cream cone one….YUM! When I was in London in 2003, I didn’t snap too many pics, rather I did a real touristy thing and broke out the video camera and took long videos of all the buildings, especially the palaces. I so loved the artwork that all of the buildings there in London represented. Thanks for sharing these great pictures and story, I felt I could see things through your words!
And…I Love the place you are staying at, very charming….quite charming indeed.
I have been to London, but can’t think of any place that you haven’t already thought of to recommend.
I just enjoy hearing about your discoveries. I’m still waiting to ‘hear’ where I’m supposed to move, but can’t wait to try it, myself.
